Diseased teeth can be removed if necessary under general anaesthetic. Pain is managed with local anaesthetic blocks and pre-operative and post-operative pain relief. Xrays are a useful non-invasive tool that has many applications, from assessing bones to lungs and abdominal organs. We are able to offer both plain and contrast Xrays (such as barium studies). We utilise in-house digital radiography (DR). DR provides us with instant, high-quality images to interpret in-house, or send to specialist vets for further assessment. We routinely sedate our patients with a safe low dose sedation for all x-rays. This ensures our patients are comfortable, not stressed, and most importantly not moving!. The initial course for puppies starts at 6-8 weeks and is followed by 2 more injections at 10-12 weeks and then 14-16 weeks. Kittens need to be vaccinated at 8 weeks, 12 weeks and 16 weeks for their routine vaccinations. Following their final puppy/kitten vaccination, we recommend yearly health checks for life, including booster vaccinations as required.
